Our puppies are raised in our home, actually in our living room.  The puppies are given lots of attention and love
from day one which enables the puppies a head start toward being a well adjusted, outgoing family member.  
Our pet puppies are sold on limited AKC registration with a written genetic health guarantee and spay/neuter
agreements. Genetic testing completed on ALL our breeding dogs.   We do all appropriate testing before breeding
and all pets are sold on a spay-neuter contract.  At Kaytel,  we may breed one to two litters a year. When we do
have a litter it is in the hopes that a special puppy will be born for us to show. Each puppy will be evaluated at
8-10 weeks. At this time some may be available. If you are interested please let us know what kind of pup you are
looking for and we will do our very best to match a puppy to your family/lifestyle. We do reserve the right to
refuse a sale.

At Kaytel Shelties, we encourage you to visit us and our dogs and "meet the parents" of the puppies.  Health and
temperament are first on my list.  All Kaytel shelties that are shown and/or used for breeding are tested for hips
OFA, vWD, thyroid and eyes are certified.

The dam is allowed to be with her babies even after the puppies are weaned, as she still plays an important part in
their development.  She spends time playing, eating and running with them. She provides discipline that only she
can teach which produces a happier, more well-behaved puppy.  Puppies are sold  with a written health guarantee
before leaving home.

We are breeding for conformation, however,  not every pup in the litter is show quality, so we will have beautiful companion
pups available at different times! We may hold all puppies over until 10-12 weeks as to make a better selection for
conformation. However, in most cases, the puppy will be ready for their new home at
8-10 weeks. ;o)

We strongly recommend a fenced in yard!!!!!!
We have NO kennels of any kind.  All of our dogs are in our house.

I received this picture from one of my wonderful puppy /buyer friends, Mary Lynn and Dan.   
I asked her how Murphy was (he is on the right) and she sent me this picture.  
Mary Lynn said: "Happy Holidays to you and your family. Murphy is just fine - in fact near
perfect (in our eyes!!) He is such an absolute character and his devotion to Dan and I seems
to surpass all the other shelties we have ever had. He is such a pretty boy - loaded with coat
and standing at 15".

Grandma (the one with the glasses on) is an Ozark Crest girl .. a daughter of Madonna who
is 9 years young that they bought from me.  Murphy is 17 months old in this picture.
